Third, there is a fundamental flaw that homeowners are making when securing legal representation during this foreclosure crisis and that is…just because the attorney you are talking to has been a real estate attorney or other type of attorney now taking foreclosure cases DOES NOT MEAN they are the best person for the job! No offense to my fellow legal eagles but the state of foreclosure is fluid, continiously evolving and has stakes not subject to just winning or losing. Todays best foreclosure litigators “look” for all the cases and opinions rendered throughout the country to draft the best persuasive arguments for their clients. Lawyers (while dedicated to their profession) who don’t and approach foreclosure cases no different today than they would 5 years ago simply places homeowners at a disadvantage. As previously cited by me in another post, ASK your lawyer or potential lawyer what BLOGS he subscribes to. Ask if he uses email alerts to update him. Let me tell you if your lawyer is only using a Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Comcast, Bellsouth or other commercial type of email account and does not have a corporate law firm email address, chances are HE/SHE IS PROBABLY NOT THE LAWYER FOR YOU!
